MSC Fantasia’s Kusadasi season is short and tidy. The published schedule (checked in October 2026) shows just five calls, between 7 October and 12 November 2026, and every one of them has the same window: 07:00 to 15:00. That consistency makes planning easy. Eight hours is a good length for Ephesus plus two of the nearby sights, as long as you accept that Sirince stays off the list.
Five calls, one timetable
The calls fall on five different weekdays:
- Wednesday 7 October 2026
- Friday 16 October 2026
- Sunday 25 October 2026
- Tuesday 3 November 2026
- Thursday 12 November 2026
On every one of these days at least one other ship is in port. Friday 16 October is the fullest, with three ships in Kusadasi at once. Times can still change, so check the ship’s daily programme for the all-aboard time, which is usually earlier than the 15:00 departure.
What eight hours allows
An eight-hour stay sits in the range where Ephesus, the House of the Virgin Mary and the Temple of Artemis all fit. That loop takes roughly 5.5 hours door to door. Add the 60 minutes we always keep in hand before departure, and you still have some breathing room.
Sirince is the honest exception. With the village added, the day stretches to around 7 to 7.5 hours of touring before the port margin, which leaves no slack on a 15:00 departure. We would not plan it on an MSC Fantasia call.
An eight-hour route, step by step
A realistic plan for any of the five dates (times approximate):
- About 07:30 — meet your driver at the cruise port exit and head inland, roughly 20 to 30 minutes.
- About 08:00 to 10:30 — Ephesus, from the upper gate down to the Great Theatre. Ask to be picked up at the lower gate.
- About 10:50 to 11:35 — the House of the Virgin Mary, up the winding mountain road.
- About 12:00 to 12:20 — the Temple of Artemis on the edge of Selcuk.
- About 13:00 — back at the port, a full two hours before departure.
If the timing runs smoothly, you can use that spare hour for the Terrace Houses inside Ephesus instead. Decide when you book, so we can confirm the order with you.
Autumn notes on each place
Ephesus. October and November are milder than summer, which suits a site with so little shade. The Terrace Houses, under a roof, show Roman wall paintings and mosaics and need their own ticket.
House of the Virgin Mary. In late autumn the wooded mountainside can be cool and damp after rain, and the short path from the car park may be wet. Christians and Muslim visitors alike come here; keep voices low inside.
Temple of Artemis. Keep expectations modest: one column in a low field that is often marshy after autumn rain. The view across to Ayasuluk Hill and the Isa Bey Mosque is part of the visit.
Sirince. Lovely, but not for this ship’s hours. Save the hillside village for a longer trip.
Weather and crowds in October and November
The five calls avoid the summer heat completely, but autumn brings its own points. Days are shorter and can be rainy, and entrance tickets are not included in the transfer, so buy Ephesus and Terrace Houses tickets in advance on our museum tickets page. A light rain jacket is worth packing, and the marble streets of Ephesus get slippery when wet.
Because another ship is in port on each date, expect groups at Ephesus in the morning. With your own car you can switch the order and go up to the House of the Virgin Mary first, then reach Ephesus after the first wave. On 16 October, the three-ship day, that swap is especially worth considering.
Reserving your car
Book the Kusadasi–Ephesus private transfer for your call date. You get a private car with driver for your group alone, up to 8 passengers per vehicle. The driver meets you at the cruise port exit, waits during each visit and brings you back to the ship.
Let us know your extra stops when you book, and we confirm the plan with you before the day. Entrance tickets are not included. You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before, and pay by cash or card. To compare this with other ways of getting there, read Kusadasi port to Ephesus: all options.

Plan it with the current schedule
Good to know: the Kusadasi–Ephesus private transfer covers Ephesus. Stops at the House of the Virgin Mary, the Temple of Artemis and Sirince are not included and cost extra; tell us which ones you want when you book and we will confirm the plan and the cost.
- MSC Fantasia currently has fewer than two upcoming Kusadasi calls listed, so it has no ship page of its own. Any remaining call appears in the list of all ships calling at Kusadasi. All cruise ships calling at Kusadasi
